SPARNEX offers a complete range of active line simulator and noise generator that allows to simulate all the operational conditions of a transmission line and to implement automated testbed of XDSL (CPE & CO) equipements.

The equipments are available for all operation technologies of the local loop : ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, SHDSL, VDSL and VDSL2.

A complete test platform allows then to validate the behaviour of modems (CPE) and DSLAMS (CO) equipments under real transmitting conditions of the local loop. Then all the tests specified in the norms can be carried out automatically.

A SPARNEX test platform is mainly composed of :

A simulator of active lines :

LSX 2025 for ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+

LSX 2030 for ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL, VDSL2

 A noise generator :

ANG MATH 2005

A robot allowing the test automation and the script generation : LSM Test Robot

 A powerful Spectrum Analyser

ICXACT Low Noise High Sensitive Spectrum Graber up to 5 MHz

The LSX 2025 and 2030 line simulators

Thanks to their active conception the SPARNEX simulators allow to faithfully reproduce the characteristics of line transmission and with repetition. Contrary to passive equipments, the line characteristics are generated in exactly the same way from a test to another.

Each segment is a unit line that can be programmed with characteristics of own lines and constitutes an homogeneous line.

The DSL line characteristics can be downloaded through the library of line characteristics or created by the user aid of the LSX Creator software.

All the parameters such as the attenuation, line length, impedance (Z), propagation delay and the resistance are fully controlled by the software.

XDSL ANG MATH 2005 noise generator

ANG Math 2005 is a generator which produces/generates noises exactly fitting with the client requirements using in particular the developed Noise Creation Software :

Noise Creation Software

NCS is a software application based on the MatLab library with a full freedom in the modelling of any type of noise and with a graphical output.

Noise Browser (NBS) is a tool to select pre-programmed xDSL noise files according to the standards. Then it is possible to change in particular the noise level without a signal interruption.

 XDSL LSM Test Robot

The robot allows the DSL test automation and the implementation of compliance and performance tests in accordance with the standards.

The « Instrument Command Language » allows from a simple syntax to make use of the LSX line simulator and the ANG noise generator in a centralized way.

The ICL-Server allows to generate test scripts from a graphical intuitive interface decreasing in this way the complexity of test implementation and making easier the development of XDSL equipments.

The library of pre-programmed tests allows to realize DSL qualification tests in accordance with normative demands.

To sum up here is a table which points out the advantages of the SPARNEX active solution for the XDSL test.
